Fraser Island - World Largest Sand Island

10:44

I recently went to Fraser Island for a work trip. The weather was really poor for most of my time on the island, so I didn't get my camera out very much.
Fraser Island is world heritage listed and stretches over 123 kilometres in length and 22 kilometres at its widest point. With an area of 184 000 hectares it is the largest sand island in the world. It has long sandy white beaches with strikingly coloured sand cliffs, over 100 freshwater lakes, and the Meheno shipwreck that has been rusting away on the beach since 1935.
